Proficiencies for the 2011/2012 season finished on 31st December 2011. If you did not complete a proficiency prior to this date you are no longer qualified to participate in patrol duties or any other lifesaving activities, including surf sports training and carnivals.
Re-qualification – Late Proficiency Requests
If you would like to re-qualify to volunteer for patrol duties you need to submit a request for a late proficiency to the Club Captain via administration. Please be sure to provide an explanation as to why you were unable to attend a proficiency on one of the many dates offered before the end of the year.
Your request will be considered by the Management Committee and then sent to SLSQ – Sunshine Coast Branch for approval by the Director of Lifesaving. If approved we will contact you to set a date for your re-qualification.
Training Courses
Expressions of interest are now being taken for all lifesaving courses. Please contact lifesaving administration lifesaving@sunshinebeachslsc.com.au or call 5447 5491 to indicate your interest in a course or for more training information.
